The book I contributed to has finally come out -- a copy arrived on my doorstep this evening. It feels nice to have articles you've written published on such a wide scale for thousands to read. I contributed two articles:
Hack #32: Listen to Podcasts on your PSP
Hack #42: Create your own PSP Web Portal
You can pick up your copy of PSP Hacks from O'Reilly or any other bookseller.

The Nintendo DS is so interesting from an interaction level that I had to have one ASAP. Now this new model is smaller and has a much more pleasing and aesthetic design -- thus hitting the other reason I must have stuff. Damn you, Nintendo -- damn you. Here goes another $130..
So a lot has been going on the last few weeks. Here are some highlights:
1. My girlfriend got a job (yay!)
2. I bought a MacBook Pro
3. I submitted a paper to the 2006 CHI Conference
4. I'm working on a project for the Microsoft Design Expo on uibquitous computing
5. I'm working on a two-semester long project for Pittsburgh Voyager on education
6. I'm working on a tele-presence robot project -- HamsterBot
7. I'm continuing my work on the Whisper Event Service project ($$)
I'd write about all these things...but then I wouldn't have time to do them. :)
You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need
You gotta sleep on your toes
and when you're on the street
You gotta be able to pick out the easy meat
with your eyes closed
And then moving in silently, down wind and out of sight
You gotta strike when the moment is right
without thinking
And after a while, you can work on points for style
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to
So that when they turn their backs on you
You'll get the chance to put the knife in
Not a day too soon, I've finished my hci portfolio. If you have any comments, feel free to email me -- comments are turned off on my entries because of the endless spam.
If you're looking to hire an hci professional who can design and program, look no further than here.
That's not entirely true...also check out some of my very talented classmates.
Ah...finally.
February can't come soon enough.
