Hi! i have some problem connecting from my school =P

I get internet connection but it doesnt go to this portal instead I come to wipeouts download section
I probably have some troubles with ip adresses.

The encryption is WEP should i know the WEP key?
the cryption code is FA23AE5676FA23AE5676FA23AE

then to the ip adresses
IP Adress: 172.16.200.96 (the one i put in my psp)
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Router 172.16.200.1 (the router)
Pimary DNS: 67.171.70.72
Seconday: 172.16.1.10 (the schools adress)
And i still just get to wipeouts download section

This portal is screwed, it has been down for so long and the status still says up.. duh..

this works pretty good. especially since the engadget portal is never up. keep up the good work.

The portal is down, that is why its not working. I used to connect no prob but now it just brings me to the wipeout site also. try a different dns, such as 64.5.48.92(best) or 66.98.192.68(ok..)

Please don't tell me that you have a dynamic IP! Put up a goddamn updated IP! Some of us have no other way to get internet... not that I'm one of them, but people are stuck on dialup and mooching off of other people's cable is all they can get that's better.

Hey I got the same error-the DNS thing, anyway i entered my mac address to my network and i set the secondary DNS as my router to back it up. I set the primary as 64.5.48.92 and it still doesnt work. The same error all the freakin time. Can someone help me????

I HAVE FOUND THE WAY TO FIX THE WHOLE DNS PROBLEM. HAHAHAHA. OK ANY WAY... all you have to do is restore all of your original seetings. Do this by going to the option of system settings under the tab settings. Once all the settings are restored, go to Network Settings all the way at the bottom under settings. Keep the connection as connection 1. Go to Infrastructure Mode, click connect, set as connection 1, Enter manually and it will show your recent connection since i assume you have been trying to connect to your network. if not go to scan. if it asks for a WPA Key, type in your WPA shared Key password. (oh yeah and make sure that your mac address for your PSP is on your network). Anyway, then click onaddress settings custom and then your IP address settings automatic. Here comes the problem that we have to fix. It will then say DNS Setting on the top. Click on Manual. Now set your primary DNS to 67.171.70.72 and then your secondary DNS to your router as the "absurd genius" says. Then it will say Proxy Server on the top. That is just like a firewall that you do not need. So you can click do not use. then it will say internet browser on the top. click on start so that you do not have to go to the WWW browser menu later. keep going until it says save settings. click x and you should be good to go. Well not yet. click test connection. Now almost every time you click test connection it will connect but not let you into your web browser. This is where the "test" comes in. After you connect the the web browser should come up and you should have a screen that says you are successfully connected to the internet. click triangle and you can start searching and playing online!! email me at mbsoccer@ptd.net for further help
