OMG w00t!

Got a cable modem here at the house. It's nice to be back to low-latency and high-speed d/l's. 450k/s is the cap -- can't beat that for $10/month. :)

Re-arranged my desk to make the PowerBook my prominent computer.

Also, d/l iTunes for windows. And if you do, under Public Radio is WRCT -- radio here from Carnegie Mellon.

-ovah and out

BITCH! Gimme y0' cizzash!

So...I write a blog, but I can't read others. (With the exception of the beefworks and the village) It seems that 99.5% of blogs are useless to 99.9% of people. What I mean is that there may be 3-4 blogs I read, but only some other tiny amount of the population gets "use" out of them. You think by now there would be one worthwhile uniting blog...think CNN or something; one that was general and insightful to everyone.

I guess what I'm saying is that blogs just take a different approach to utility. Like with tech sites, there are a few main ones that everyone reads (the tiny ones very few people read) -- i'm talking Slashdot, ArsTechnica, etc. With blogs, it seems that more of a "quantity for quality" approach is taken. In that I mean, "let's flood the net with 2,000,000 blogs...out of those, 1,000 may be worthwhile to a decent number of people."

Perhaps it is just a matter of what blogs, by nature, are -- personal takes on life, news, or nothing. But more often than not it seems they are just stumps for modern cynical philosophers. "You suck, here's why...btw, can you PayPal me money?"

In closing...you suck and need to end your life because you are so sad. (I will be adding my paypal link later) :)

Pixie...er...Cancer Stix!

So I was bored tonight. I figured I'd try and addict myself to cigarettes.

First I headed to the gas station and firmly stated that I'd like a "pack of Camels." I was confronted with "soft or hard pack?" Not knowing wtf that meant, I chose soft. Then I headed home. Here is the pretty R.J. Reynolds Camel -- he's so proud:

When I got home, I put on my leather jacket, whipped out my zippo and headed down the street listening to Nine Inch Nails. (I needed to rage to see if the nicotine could calm me). So 2 cigarettes and a head of smelly hair later I am completely unimpressed. How does someone START smoking? It didn't suck or anything...but I got nothing from it. I felt nothing. I came home and had a sip of Rolling Rock and that did more for me. People must really be reaching for something to start smoking.

Anyways...since I didn't succeed in getting addicted I figured it was time to smoke the rest of the pack:

And then, since my room was slowly filling with smoke, and carbon minoxide poisoning is not favorable, I doused the flamez:

What a waste of $4. Christ.

Hopscotch w/God

Try this.

How well can you avoid inner conflict? Post your results.

Here's mine: (read this after you do it yourself)

You have been awarded the TPM medal of distinction! This is our second highest award for outstanding service on the intellectual battleground.

The fact that you progressed through this activity without being hit and biting very few bullets suggests that your beliefs about God are internally consistent and well thought out.

114991 people have completed this activity to date.
You suffered zero direct hits and bit 2 bullets.
The average player of this activity takes 1.37 hits and bites 1.11 bullets.

Now, my complaints. I had to bite two bullets...let us analyze wtf they were --

I said..

1. Evolutionary Theory is fundamentally flawed --
Apparently it is not OK to disagree with an incomplete and pseudo-justified theory. There hasn't been one experiment...ever...to prove the most important part of it: that one species can change enough to become another. It has never been naturally observed in nature. Scientists only draw conclusions on what "looks to be" evolution (like from Ape to Man).

2. No evidence entails no non-existence
This is logically true. Why I had to bite a bullet for it, I don't know. Yes, it entails I can't rule out aliens not living on Saturn...but I see nothing wrong with that. Do we have evidence to say there isn't some life on Saturn? No? Then why say there isn't.

Overall it was fun though. Try it if you already haven't.

Pix!

I recently had a conversation with the head honcho over @ the Beefworks (which you can find located in the tiny nexus to your right) about taking pictures. I like to take pictures of random stupid things...I haven't been doing it much lately though. So...I guess I'm going to try and take more. My s400 wants a workout and I'm ready to help it beef up.

Picture BONANZA!
Candy Corn
More Sugary Carrots
Buy this pen -- it r0x
Fishy -- now over a year old

Edit: More picz! omg!
Dual heading w/my new PowerBook
PowerBook Keyboard -- so sexxxy

Quick Shot

Here's a screenshot of my PowerBook desktop. Suprisingly few people have actually seen a Mac screenshot before...so I figured I'd let you in on the beauty -- though I did reduce the size and save it with a lower JPG quality to get it around 100k (it was like 900k otherwise). Anyways...enjoy.
