Apples

Figured I'd take some pictures of all my Apples: The one in the center is my new one. The one on the left is my old iBook which Jaclyn now owns. The one on the right will soon belong to my dad.

Here you can see what my setup normally looks like. I feel bad never using my big LCD. I rarely use my PC since I've had an Apple laptop. Using a PC after using a Mac would have to be something like driving a Yugo after taking a ride in a BMW.

I'm also looking at getting this phone. It's like the second phone from Nokia for SprintPCS. It's cheap and sexy. I've given up waiting for my beloved T608.

Rave

Because of coolness like this I'm loving my new PowerBook. It's fast, nice screen, great speakers, and even a friggin keyboard that lights up. What more could you want?

It's that time again..

Another year, another Apple for me.

This time I was seduced by the new 15". Instead of rave about it for an hour, I'll give you a link...it is scrumptious.

Great price this time around. My total was $2141 for the PowerBook, but I also bought a 20GB iPod. "But fugi," you say, "don't you already HAVE an iPod??" Why yes, I do...but there was a promotion going on where if you buy a powerbook, you got $200 off an iPod. Sooo...eBay the iPod...$200 off the PowerBook.

In total, once I sell my 12" PB, it'll cost me like $400.

In the Ghetto...in the ghettoooo

Ok, this is racist. Let's get that out of the way...but it's too funny not to share.

So I'm driving home with my girlfriend and we hit traffic on the highway. I decided to get off at the next exit and try to work my way back to Pittsburgh the "back way." Well, everything was going fine, but then things took a "turn for the worse." More like I turned left. And then there was the proverbial ghetto.

At first...there were a few noticeable things. First, the color of everyone's skin changed from "hick" to "dark chocolate." Then, you start to see groups of people travelling together that stare as a minivan with two white people drives through "their turf." Next, you come to the yards filled with rusted lawnmowers and people screaming at each other.

We were both scared shitless. At that moment, I saw a possible exit; a road ahead...with actual painted lines on it. I turned on to it and things started to get better. As I went up a hill and past a cemetery -- there it was -- balancing atop a 20 foot pole -- a giant bucket of KFC.

At this point I broke out laughing hysterically. Even my girlfriend, a very...politically correct and caring person...could not help herself. It was just too damned funny.

I can't imagine the business that KFC does.
